It seemed a good idea at the time – an engagement photo session down by the river and on Belle Island. It was late April and spring had finally come in earnest to Richmond. We met down by Tredegar Iron Works and walked our way down by the water, along with what appeared to be all of Richmond.
It did not occur to me that everyone might want to get outside after this long winter as well…. EVERYONE!
It can be a challenge for people who are not used to having their picture taken to relax in front of the camera, let alone when throngs of people are edging by you on the Belle Isle Bridge.
But, because they are an exceptional couple (with exceptional taste in photography), Lori and Andrew were more than up to the challenge.
The weather was perfectly spring in Richmond, and the James River provided the perfect backdrop for my first official foray together. Lori and Andrew are a great mix of poise and humor. It was something of an issue for Lori to stop laughing in every shot. I do love working with people who do not take themselves quite so seriously – it makes for happy collaboration I think.
Wedding images pending, as I finally catch up with the blog efforts. Apologies for the delay.
