"Bob is so approachable, that you can ask him anything, he isn't afraid to try something new. The "Trash the Dress" session is a risqué idea, especially in the south, but he was up for it, even to the point of risking equipment to follow me INTO the river!"
I came to a place of photographing people very slowly. People were scary. Nature, landscapes, things were safe. They didn't move, judge or talk back. But after many years I discovered weddings, and brides, and grooms, and families gathered together to celebrate each other. To bond to one another in defiance of the cold world outside the family tribe. Again and again I see that which makes us beautiful - the essential nature of our pull towards one another. I am an optimist at heart, and reject wholly the idea that people are cold, selfish and fearful of one another - despite what the news shows us. I need only look through the lens on a wedding day for vindication.
I endeavor to give people a window into the best parts of themselves, on one of the best days of their lives.
"Seriously; I can't narrow down my absolute favorite picture down. So many pictures captured different moments of the day, but they were all amazing! Bob was always easy to reach by phone or email and responded quickly to any questions we had. He fit right in at the ceremony and reception, had a great personality and was genuine when talking to you"
